Aerial of Hidden Valley AreaHidden Valley is a 7,290 acre private protected area located within the northern Maya Mountains in the Cayo District of the Central American country of Belize. Managed by Hidden Valley Institute, an organization formed solely for that purpose.

Hidden Valley has been classified as being an IUCN Category 6 "Managed Resource" protected area. This includes protection of wilderness and the preservation of species diversity, including a rich plant and animal diversity such as more then 81 orchid species, all five of Belize’s native cat species as well as important and threatened bird species such as the orange breasted falcon, stygian owl, king vulture, black and white hawk eagle and solitary eagle. Hidden Valley also protects the source of the Barton Creek. The area provides extraordinarily high aesthetic value, particularly the views across the valleys and waterfalls.
